Stage set for Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak EARS Conference on Education and Training in Abu Dhabi

PRESS RELEASE -July 10, 2012, Stockholm~ After successfully hosting three World Arabian Horse Racing Conferences, as part of the H. H Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival, the stage has been set to host the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak EARS (European Association of Racing Schools) Conference on Education and Training in Abu Dhabi in 2013.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference held at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Ms Lara Sawaya, director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Racing Festival and Head of IFAHR ladies racing, said speakers from all over the leading racing schools will attend the conference.”The Abu Dhabi conference will be for two days and it is open to all. At the end of the conference there will be a Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak  EARS Apprentice Jockeys race for both male and female jockeys and plans are ahead to make it an annual event,” she said.

For 2012, there will be a Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak EARS Apprentice Jockeys race on Nov.11, at the same time as the final rounds of the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup and the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Championship (IFAHR) are held at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

 Susanna Santesson,  the president of the The European Association of Racing Schools (EARS) said the organization was formed in 2000. “EARS was formed in order to aid cooperation between the leading racing schools in France, England, Ireland, Italy and Germany, and in order to have a higher level of education and training in the racing industry,” she said.

The H.H Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival is organized to promote purebred Arabians in different parts of the world with the sponsors being by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and co-ordinated by Abu Dhabi Sports Council in association with Emirates Racing Authority ,IFAHR and Emirates Arabian Horse Society, supported by General Authority for Youth and Sports and Fegentri with Emirates airlines as the official carrier and sponsored by Invest AD, Al Rashid Investment, Areej Al Ameerat, Mauzan, Al Awani General Enterprises, Kabale, the UAE’s General Women’s Union, the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2012, Wathba Stud Farm and Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
