On June 23rd, the Fair opens at 10:00 AM, but if you arrive early, you’ll see the 9:30 AM Fair parade, celebrating the Fair’s 100th Anniversary. The parade begins on Main Street in downtown Pleasanton and ends on Pleasanton Ave., across from the Fairgrounds.
12:45 to 4:15: Enter the Win Place and Show contest for a chance to win $100, $75 or $50.
1:50 PM: Parade on the race track of costumed riders on Arabian horses.
2:15 PM: Post time for the $20,000 Grade III Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup
7:00 PM: Concert at the Amphitheater is Lonestar
The Fair is open June 20-July 8…Closed on Monday. Fireworks every Friday.
Racing began on the Alameda Race track in 1858. It began as a private track built for Don Refugio Bernal on his 52,000 acre Mexican land grant, Rancho del Valle de San Jose.
