Budget: The French state has confirmed its 10 million euro participation in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy budget. It’s a clear indication of the priority given to the event. In total, the WEG budget amounts to 67.5 million euros; 57% public funding and 43% private funding.  So far 80% of the total budget has been consolidated.

In the picture: The FEI has given its go-ahead to the “TV broadcast plan” drawn up by the WEG Organising Committee.  An absolute mine of information, this handbook sets out the technical requirements for recording or filming each event for television. More than sixty cameras will be provided thereby allowing images to be beamed to rights-holding broadcasters all over the world. And for the very first time: the endurance event, all 160 km of it, will be filmed in its entirety! An extraordinary technical feat indeed.
