10 June 2015, UK ~ One day after the 11 June, Newbury DIAR race, Chepstow will be home to the Shadwell Arabian Stallions Premier Handicap Stakes on 12 June, another Prep race for the Dubai International Arabian Races (DIAR) series.
There are eight horses entered into this 1m 4F (12F) for Purebred Arabians, 4 yrs+ open handicap, the youngest being Aurora Forta (Abu Alemarat (FR) x Bay Brulee (US) at four years.
Verdict by Gary Capewell:
At the time of writing there is some uncertainty as to how much rain will fall ahead of this race, which will have a major say on the outcome. Kamikzae carries a 6 pound penalty for his Hereford victory on Sunday but the trip could be an issue. Karar and Zayin Zachilles are confirmed stayers, of those two Karar appeals most. Jumeira Palm has a strong chance if the rain stays away, her stable companion Maazin steps up in trip which may suit, likewise Aurora Forta who was a close second on her handicap debut a few weeks ago. However despite the lack of a recent run AZIZI is the selection. He relished the extra distance at Newbury when last seen and is versatile enough to act on most going.
