26 March 2015, Dubai – Notes

Bigg N Rich (USA) – Bigg N Rich’s preparation is progressing well and his trainer Eric Lemartinel said: “This morning he cantered over 1000m and then cantered a bit faster again over 1000m. He quickened nicely and I am very happy with him.”

Valiant Boy (FR) – The grey American-trained star galloped about 1600m on the Meydan dirt track and gave his trainer Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Merryman all the signs she likes to see before a race.

“He was great. He was a little sharp but that was good – that seems to be when he’s at his best, when he is full of himself,” Merryman said.

Looking ahead to the race, Merryman’s main concern is that Valiant Boy drew the rail post in the field of 15. “I just hope he doesn’t get into trouble coming from the one hole. We’ll have to see how it unfolds,” she said.

Merryman plans to keep Valiant Boy in the quarantine barn area on Friday, when the seven-year-old’s exercise will be limited to a jog.

Versac PY (FR) – Had an easy work on the dirt track today.
