Hereford and Newbury Command Top Wathba Stud Farm Cup Racing for August 3, 4

July 25, 2013, UK ~ August 3 at Hereford, UK, promises good fields for Wathba Stud Farm Cup Maiden Stakes and Wathba Stud Farm Cup Conditions Stakes.

The August 3, 7 F Maiden commands a strong field of 17, while later that day, the 7 F Conditions race will see the Julian Smart trained, Mkeefa against the Batteate trained Tidarbret while trainers, Duffield, Hakmani, and Hammersley line up their best.

August 4 brings Wathba Stud Farm Cup Premier Handicap Stakes to Newbury where the 10F Premier Handicap will pit the Julian Smart top rated Abhar against the Duffield trained Azwa with the top performing Altesse Kossack in the mix of 13 runners.

The Premier Handicap at Newbury will be an excellent race with a very interesting spread of horse and trainers represented.  At Hereford I am particularly looking forward to seeing Mkeefa running again in the UK.  She finished 2012 as the highest rated Purebred Arabian in training, having won both the UK Arabian Derby and Qatar Arabian World Cup at Longchamp.”
