Fifty-one entries from eight nations will compete in western and english disciplines, and the UAE W’rsan Team will once again travel to Austria to compete.

In March 2016, the AVS (Dutch Arabian Horse Breeders Society) cancelled the European Championships for Sport Arabians which was planned to take place in Holland in early August citing “irreconcilable differences” in the format.
