Joshua Brown takes sixth career win in Snowy Swedish race

February 5, 2012~ Stockholm~ Joshua Brown (Samsheik USA x FH Honey Mellon (USA) brought home his 6th career win in the 5 February race. The 1350 m Eldorado Arabian Sprint at Täby Galopp in Stockholm was ridden in freezing -10 C with a loose and heavy going and saw a field of 13 runners. Joshua Brown broke well and stayed in the midfield for the first furlungs and then moved up to 3rd. As they horses came out of the final turn rider Nathalie Mortensen moved out in the tracks to give him free space. And in the home stretch he put his head to it and an won easily with 2,5 lengths before Al Raai (Louis Santos) in second and  Sakba (Jacob Johansen) in third.

“It has been a fantastic start of the 2012 Arabian racing season in Sweden for our breeding,” said Mats Genberg. “This was 5 year old Joshua Browns’ 6th career win in 19 races.”
