August 4, 2012, Santa Rosa, California ~The Wathba Stud Farm Cup for three yr-olds and up raced today in Santa Rosa over six furlongs for a purse of $7,000 added by the Wathba Stud Farm Cup. First in the money was Kador N U who finished in a time of 1:23:79 over a length in front of favorite, One Hot Chick. Owned by Sam Vasquez of Texas, the winner has only spent a week in California, shipping from Colorado to run in the sun under the able hands of top Arabian jockey, Joy Scott. One Hot Chick (Burning Sand x FC Bint Chezi), moved up around the track but chasing in the home stretch just could not catch the son of Kador De Blaziet out of the Burning Sand mare, Gizmoson Fire. Trainer, Diana Skinner said she thought Kador was a great candidate for today. “He likes it here,” she said.
Jockey, Joy Scott said, ”He was so relaxed in the gate after his long trip from Arapahoe. I knew he had speed, so I let him just come out and he grabbed me and took me the rest of the way.”

One Hot Chick is owned by Warren Shelly and trained by Helen Shelley. He was taken around by Barrington Harvey.

Sammies Moment with jockey Morris Parker up, positioned in third all the way and brought third in.
