La Teste, France, July 22, 2012 ~ Rabah De Carere completed a spectacular finish in the 1,900-metre Prix Tidjani Group-3 at La Teste Racecourse in France on Sunday.
The three-year-old son of Mizzna, a daughter of the legendary Purebred Arabian mare Al Anudd (Unchained Melody) by Babi de Carere, made her debut a triumph.
Trained in France by Jean Francois Bernard, Rabah De Carere is owned by Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The winning colt, the progeny of a successful embryo transfer, is proof of a revolution in the human-directed process of selective breeding of purebred horses. According to Sultan Al Marzouqi, director of Wathba Stud Farm owned by HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the move represents a breakthrough in the field as it is the first of its kind in the region.
“The great performance of Rabah De Carere is the best evidence that the breeding process at the Wathba Stud Farm is on the right track and showing the way for other breeders who would like to enrich the Arabian races,” he said.
