More photos of the Tom Quilty Cup in Tasmania from Meg Wade

 June 9, 2012, Australia, Tasmania ~

The beach near the Quilty Cup course.

The perpetual Quilty Cup.

Castlebar Gulfstream is our stallion by Chip Chase Sadaqa out of Franklin Rajul.
He is a full brother in blood to Kurrajong Concorde who we won the Quilty with in 2011. Concorde is now owned by HH. Sh. Mohammed Al Maktoum.
Castlebar Gulfstream was 6th middleweight and 9th overall and  won the Pat Slater trophy.

This is the 4th time Castlebar presented horses have won this award.

Dark Bay above is Kristie Taprell with Castlebar Gulfstream.
The Pat Slater is judged from the first 10 horses over the line regardless of division. The horse must be sound and the type that Pat would have liked to take a photo of to put on the front of Arab Horse News.

Below: Castlebar Tempest and Wendy Dower were 2nd Lightweight (6th overall)
Castlebar Tempest is our stallion (Chip Chase Sadaqa x Lynbrook Tamsin).
Lynbrook Tamsin is also the dam of Castlebar Treaty who I rode to 4th place in the World Championships in Spain in 2002.                                                                                          Contributed by Meg Wade
