Qatar Racing celebrates Heir Apparent Days wins

As the first races of February get underway in Doha, Arabian runners celebrate wins.

Feb 6 – In the 2nd race it was Shujaa (Nizam x Les Hiles De Carrere) with Marvin Suerland up that won the 1500m race for horses rated 40 and below  in a time of 01:42:26.

Shaklan (Burning Sand x Tohfa), the Julian Smart trained 5 yr old, took the 1200m 3rd race with Richard Mullen as pilot for horses rated 40-70 in the time of 01:19:96.

In second and third:

2. Al Mustanfir 3. Glude Al Khal (USA)

The 1400m Purebred Arabian Stakes was won by Raddad (Amer x Djelmila) with David Bouland up for Alban de Mieulle and Umm Qarn farm in a time of 01:25:93. This was the third win in a row for the the five yr old.

2. Nashmi  was second, making it the double for de Mieulle, with jockey Pat Convertino

3. Bin Amer with jockey Stephan Ladjadj

4. Harran came in 4th under Richard Mullen.

February 5 Heir Apparent Festival

The maiden 1200m registered the first win by Al Saad (Amer x Temptayshuhn). The 6 year old is owned by Mr. Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Ali Khalifa Al Attiyah, trained by Jassim Ghazali and had Mathew Lawson up.The winning  time was 01:21:20.

Al Atique (Amer x Somra) with Marco Monteriso in the saddle also locked in his first win in the 1600m race for trainer  Julian Smart.  Aziz Al Shahania pulled a double for Smart coming in 2nd. Ultimome placed third.

For horses rated 40 and below, the winner was Intizaa (Al Mudaffar x Assana D’Aroco) with Sylvain Ruis in the saddle for trainer G Mikhalides. Second in was Suwaida, guided home by Pat Convertino for Alban de Mieulle and de Mieulle’s Khabba and David Bouland brought in the third.
