Qatar’s Dahor De Brugere wins Qatar Coupe De France Des Pur Sang Arabes at Chantilly

     On Sunday July 1, 2012 at Chantilly ~ Sporting the colors of HE Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, Dahor De Brugere clinched the Qatar Coupe De France Des Pur Sang Arabes at Chantilly racecourse in France on Sunday. The Dahess progeny Dahor De Brugere won the Euros 50,000 contest by two lengths from Djebelia Al Mels, while Manark took the third place. The first two placed horses are sired by Dahess.

This was the fourth victory for a Qatari owned horse as Umm Qarn’s Damis, Tabarak and Lancelot had reigned supreme in their European assignments earlier.

Alban de Mieulle trained Damis had thwarted the spirited effort of another Qatari challenger Areej to win the President of UAE Cup at the Saint Cloud race course. This race witnessed the top four places going to Qatar owned horses as Raihan and Asraa Min Albarq completed the frame.

 Earlier Lancelot and Tabarak had hoisted the winning flag sporting the colors of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani owned Umm Qarn. Tabarak had won the Derby Des Pur Sang for four-year-old Pure Arabians at Chantilly, while Lancelot came good in the Grand Prix De Lyon earlier in June.
