Wathba Stud Farm Cup races continues in California

   October 7, Fresno, California~ The entries are in for the final Wathba Cup series in California for 2011. The Wathba Cup series is sponsored under the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian horse racing Festival.

The six furlong allowance race is for three year olds an up who have not won a race in 2011 and is being held Saturday October 8th at Fresno.

Im Adoraable Too(CA) 2005 mare (Virgule Al Maury x Adoraable)
Ofrank(TX) 2003 horse (Chndaka x Bintotiki)
Alongway Baby(TX) 2004 gelding (Alongtheway x Baby Orzelost)
Le Fromage (PA) 1998 gelding (FMR Grand Jete x Pebles)
Jucy Pickins 2007 gelding (Virgule Al Maury x Justadeuce)

This celebrated series of 21 races, organized worldwide under the name, Wathba Stud Farm Cup by The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADAHC), aims to encourage local and UAE breeding of Arabian horses whilst simultaneously promoting Arabian racing around the globe. Races in 2011 were held in the United States, The Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Germany and the United Kingdom.  California was chosen as a United States entry and given added prize money for five races to encourage the redevelopment of Arabian racing in the state.
